How do I sign up for a free intro?
Schedule your free intro with us by filling out the contact form with all of your details, and we will contact you to schedule your free intro.
How long does it take to see results?
Results take time, but if you’re consistent, they will come. If you are a beginner, results will come fairly quickly; even in only 30 days, you may start to see a difference in your strength and overall fitness.
Do I get the chance to meet new friends?
Yes. We like to organize our fitness classes into small groups, as this allows you to meet others.
What sets you apart from other gyms?
We are a community of people that share the same fitness journey as you. We are here to build each other up - if you win, we all win.
How often do you recommend coming to workout classes?
If you are a beginner, we recommend starting with 2 to 4 classes a week, with the goal of working up to 5 a week after your first few months. It may take a while for your body to get used to training at that intensity, so listen to your body and know you will need recovery time between training days.
Do you provide free refreshments there?
We have filtered water available to our members.
Do I have to be fit to join?
No! No matter what your current fitness level is, we have the fitness program that is right for you. Every workout is designed to help you succeed, improve fitness, and move you toward your goals. Our program is designed for universal scalability, making it the perfect application for any committed individual regardless of experience.
What payment methods do you accept?
We take all major credit cards and debit cards. We do not accept personal checks.
What kind of exercises can I expect during a workout?
Our class programming will include a strength portion in which you’ll work on something like Olympic weightlifting, deadlifting, squatting, or bodyweight strength or you may work on a skill like kettlebell windmill. After the strength or skill portion of the class is complete, most days will involve a workout that was programmed for that specific day. Workouts can be anywhere between 5 to 20 minutes or more.
Do I have to stop eating my favorite foods to be healthy?
No! A healthy lifestyle has to be manageable and realistic for the long term. Do enjoy special indulgences and meals! The healthier you are, the healthier you tend to want to eat. You get hooked on feeling good, and junk food just isn’t worth it. By avoiding excessive amounts of refined carbohydrates and measuring your intake of protein, carbohydrates, and fat, you will see dramatic, measurable increases in health.
What age should a child start a gym?
Most kids can start structured gym-style training around ages 7–8, when they can follow directions and practice safe technique. For younger children, “the gym” should look like play-based movement (running, jumping, climbing, balance, coordination). In kids fitness classes, the goal is confidence, form, and fun—not heavy lifting.
Can a 7 year old lift weights?
Yes, a 7-year-old can do supervised “strength training” using very light weights, resistance bands, medicine balls, or just bodyweight. But the focus should be on technique and control. A safe kids strength session prioritizes quality reps, not heavy loads.
Is it ok for a 10 year old to workout?
Yes, a 10-year-old can work out safely with a qualified coach, age-appropriate programming, and an emphasis on good movement patterns. The best workouts for this age include bodyweight exercises, light resistance, agility, and core stability, typically 2–3 days per week, avoiding max-effort lifts.
Does weightlifting affect kids' growth?
Properly coached strength training does not stunt growth. Concerns usually come from injuries to growth plates, which are most likely caused by poor technique, too much weight, or unsupervised training. In a well-run kids fitness class, strength training is designed to be safe, progressive, and age-appropriate. Parent note: Always check with your child’s pediatrician if they have pain, a medical condition, or are returning from an injury.
How is a customized program different from personal training?
A customized program is a personalized workout plan you follow on your own schedule and often incorporates added factors like nutrition plans. Personal training includes live, coached sessions where your trainer leads the workout in real time. Customized programming is ideal if you want structure, flexibility, and a clear roadmap, and personal training is best if you want hands-on coaching, accountability, and form feedback every session.
How do you measure progress in a customized fitness program?
Progress is measured using a mix of performance, body metrics, and consistency (not just the scale). Common checkpoints include strength increases (reps/weight), improved endurance, measurements or photos (if desired), mobility and pain-free movement, energy/sleep, and adherence to workouts. Your program is adjusted based on these trends to keep results moving safely and sustainably.
What should I bring to a drop-in fitness class?
Bring comfortable workout clothes, athletic shoes, and a water bottle. If you sweat a lot, a small towel helps. If you have any injuries or limitations, let your coach know before class so exercises can be modified.
Who benefits from signing up for drop-in classes?
Drop-in classes are great for people who want flexible scheduling without a membership commitment. They’re a strong fit for beginners who want guidance, busy adults who can’t attend the same time weekly, travelers, and anyone who wants extra workouts alongside personal training or a customized program.
What’s the benefit of working out with kettlebells?
Kettlebells are great for building real-world strength and conditioning at the same time. They train full-body power, core stability, grip strength, balance, and coordination, often in shorter, efficient workouts. In a Foundations class, you’ll learn proper technique for key movements (like swings, hinges, squats, presses, and carries) so you can train safely and confidently.
Are kettlebells good for getting rid of belly fat?
Kettlebells can help support fat loss because they’re a high-effort, full-body workout that can burn calories and build muscle—both of which improve body composition. But you can’t spot-reduce belly fat; results come from a consistent plan that includes strength training, cardio/conditioning, nutrition, sleep, and stress management. Kettlebell training is an effective piece of that plan.
Do I need to take a Foundations class before I can use a personal trainer?
No. Foundations is primarily meant only as preparation for Adapt Class, our group fitness program.
